Frequently asked questions.

Quick answers about how Renovilo works, plans, and payments.

What is Renovilo?

A marketplace with two sides: homeowners post renovation projects and collect quotes from contractors, while contractors post job listings to hire workers and crews. Posting is always free.

Is it free to post a project or a job?

Yes. Posting renovation projects and job listings is free, and so is receiving quotes and applications. A subscription is only needed to respond to other people’s listings.

What can I do without a subscription?

As a free member you can post renovation projects (with photos) and job listings, receive quotes and applications, and reply for free to anyone who contacts you about your own listings.

What does the Worker plan unlock?

The Worker plan lets you apply to job listings and message the people who posted them. It’s for workers and crews looking for jobs.

What does the Contractor plan unlock?

The Contractor plan includes everything in the Worker plan, plus the ability to send quotes on homeowner renovation projects and message homeowners. You don’t need both plans — Contractor is a superset.

Are my quotes private?

Yes. Quotes are sealed — only the homeowner who posted the project can see them. Other contractors can never see your price.

How do payments to contractors work?

Renovilo connects you and handles the conversation. Once you agree on terms in messages, the work and any payment for the job happen directly between you and the contractor.

What’s the difference between a quote and an estimate?

A quote is a contractor’s priced bid on your renovation project. An estimate is a paid, costed document produced by Renovilo staff — a separate service under Estimates.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open your plan page and use Manage billing to reach the Stripe customer portal, where you can update your card or cancel anytime.
